ENGINEERING PORTFOLIO
Engineering Science Projects
Listed below are some of the projects I've completed in my first term in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto.
Mechanical Pencil Improvement
In this project, a group consisting of me and two other engineers were assigned a design brief which described the problem of incompatibility between mechanical pencils and different lead sizes. We were asked to create a conceptual design report, followed by a kickstarter package in which we developed a solution to this problem using the engineering design process.
Pedestrian Bridge Design
A Pratt truss bridge with a parabolic top which spans 150 meters.
Clothes Hanger Extension Mechanism
The design for a mechanism to extend the arms of a clothes hanger quickly and easily.
Model Beam Bridge
A beam bridge made from mat board, designed to carry three trains of 400N total.
